Don Deford

Don’s enthusiasm for elections and the people who run them is an asset to Clear Ballot’s sales team.

Don entered the elections industry as the HAVA manager for the state of Oregon. He was one of the initial team members on the OpenIDEO accessibility project, pioneered the use of tablet computers for voters with disabilities, and has been consulted by the U.S. Election Assistance Commission, the National Institute of Standards and Technology, and many states as accessible voting has developed across the U.S.

As a quality assurance engineer for Westinghouse and Bechtel, Don ensured compliance with federal and state regulations on nuclear and hazardous environmental remediation projects on the Hanford project. He also applied his scientific and business knowledge to the pharmaceutical industry in field sales, training, management, and product development.

Don earned a BA in business communications from Johns International University.
