Vote center / precinct in-person voting and tabulation
ClearCast is the first precinct count optical scan voting system to be built with modern software tools.
From its inception, ClearCast was designed to respond to the administrative and performance needs of election officials and the budgetary needs of County Commissioners across jurisdictions of any size.
Clear Ballot uses existing high-speed, commercial scan engines and the Intel® NUC, an off-the-shelf mini PC kit. These high quality, off the shelf components provide optimal throughput for every precinct and advanced processing speed and capabilities.
Clear Ballot believes that every county, precinct and voter should have the opportunity to use the newest technology. COTS technology allows for lower cost and eliminates technological obsolescence making it a sustainable long term option for all stakeholders.
The ClearCast voting unit allows ballots to be cast and processed quickly via the Intel NUC mini PC. At less than 2 seconds per ballot this means shorter lines at the polls and an overall better voting experience.
