The Business Development Representative will be responsible for identifying and closing opportunities within assigned territory through prospecting, lead-follow up, cold calling, and product demonstration via video conferencing. To be successful in this position, you will be able to engage prospective customers, understand their election operations and challenges, develop relationships, and educate our customers on the value proposition of a partnership with Clear Ballot.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Understand the functional application of the Clear Ballot product suite
  • Research prospective customers in assigned territory and identify sales opportunities
  • Establish points of contact through cold calling and inbound lead follow up
  • Develop and maintain a pipeline of business
  • Schedule and participate in virtual presentations/product demos of VerifyNow software
  • Assist with development of RFPs
  • Utilization of CRM system for pipeline management and metrics (Hubspot)
  • Meet sales activity goals: closed deals, daily/weekly call goals, product demos

Skills/Experience:

  • 1 Year in a phone-based sales, business development or customer success role
  • Excellent public speaking/presentation skills
  • Professional and polished verbal and written communication skills
  • Organized, self-disciplined, operates with a sense of urgency
  • Customer service mindset and excellent follow-through skills
