Role Overview
Join our Professional Services team as a Field Service Engineer, where you will provide on-site technical support and services to clients across the country. In this role, you will help ensure that election technology operates reliably and securely, supporting the integrity of the voting process.
This position requires frequent travel—up to 70%—especially during election cycles, to deliver hands-on support and expertise.
Key Responsibilities
System Installation & Support
- Install, configure, and maintain election systems at customer sites to ensure optimal performance and reliability
- Provide immediate on-site technical support during pre-election, election day, and post-election activities
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues to prevent disruptions
Training & Customer Engagement
- Conduct training sessions to help customers effectively use systems and tools
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships through responsive and high-quality service
- Communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical users
Maintenance & Continuous Improvement
- Perform routine system maintenance and updates to minimize downtime
- Ensure systems remain compliant with relevant standards and requirements
- Collaborate with engineering and product teams to share field feedback and support product improvements
Logistics & Deployment
- Manage deployment logistics, ensuring all required equipment and materials are available on-site
- Prepare for and execute installations efficiently across various client locations
Qualifications & Skills
- Experience in field service engineering, preferably within technology or election systems
- Strong networking knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues effectively
- Proficiency in installing Windows operating systems and working with server environments
- Solid understanding of computer hardware repair and troubleshooting
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to travel up to 70% of the time, with flexibility for urgent situations
- Experience with third-party image scanning devices and printers is a plus
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
