Harney County was in a difficult situation, as many small counties are, when looking for a new voting system. Upgrading to a newer version of their current offering was too expensive, but they preferred an upgrade in technology over hand counting ballots, the solution many small counties resort to when cost becomes a barrier.
Clear Ballot’s range of scanner options allowed Harney to purchase a solution that fit their needs. They use 2 fi-7180 Fujitsu scanners and are now able to tabulate ballots faster and more efficiently than before.
