BOSTON, MA - Election officials in Onondaga, Oswego, and Chenango Counties used Clear Ballot technology in the November election, delivering transparent, accurate results that voters can have confidence in. County officials in nine states partnered with Clear Ballot to provide solutions that helped count and verify millions of absentee, in-person, and early voting ballots securely and accurately this week, including the debut of ClearVote 2.4 in New York.
Certified earlier this year, the ClearVote system is Clear Ballot’s first certified in-person voting system in New York but Clear Ballot’s sixth certified voting system developed in the last six years. Featuring a next generation precinct tabulator and accessible ballot marking device tested by the renowned Perkins School for the Blind, the system was designed to be easy to use for voters, election officials, and poll workers while maintaining the familiar voter verifiable paper ballots for all voters.
“We have worked with more than 40 New York counties over the last few years as their absentee and audit partner, and we are excited to now be taking the next step in providing a high-quality in-person voting solution,” said Clear Ballot CEO Bob Hoyt. “We will continue to focus on supporting our customers to help them run successful, transparent elections and look forward to working with election officials across New York as they prepare for 2024.”
