BOSTON, MA – Clear Ballot is proud to announce the completion of its first Election as a Service in the State of Maryland, after conducting a seamless municipal election in the City of Hyattsville on May 13, 2025.

The city of roughly 12,000 registered voters is located just outside Washington, DC, and is known for its strong sense of community and a vibrant Arts District. Elections in Hyattsville are overseen by City Clerk Nate Groenendyk, who was searching for a more efficient way to conduct elections.

Clear Ballot deployed skilled technicians to manage every facet of the election process from start to finish. This included ballot design, technical support, tabulation, reporting, and end-to-end project management. Results were delivered to city staff and voters quickly and accurately, creating a seamless election process for all.

Clear Ballot has a longstanding relationship with the Maryland State Board of Elections, having completed the nation’s first 100%, automated, independent statewide audit in 2016 and continues to do so today.

Clear Ballot is excited to expand its Election as a Service offering to municipalities, unions, tribes, and private entities, providing transparency in the election process across the United States.
