Clear Ballot is an American company with full-time employees based in the United States as well as a small number of employees in Canada. Our software is developed exclusively by Clear Ballot employees.

Does Clear Ballot manufacture voting equipment in the US?

Clear Ballot is headquartered in New Hampshire, which is where we assemble our voting equipment. While select hardware components utilize global materials, 100% of our equipment is assembled, tested, and shipped directly from our New Hampshire facility.

How do you ensure that your manufacturing facility is secure?

Security is central to our facility operations. Our facility adheres to International Organization for Standardization (ISO) standards such as as ISO 9001, governing production quality and management controls. Clear Ballot employs strict physical security protocols, including verified key card access, and requires all employees to undergo regular security trainings to safeguard our voting systems at every stage.

How is supply chain security maintained?

Clear Ballot conducts routine security reviews of our supply chain including supply chain risk assessments and frequent communications with our vendors to ensure that components are securely sourced. Every externally sourced item undergoes rigorous intake testing, and final assembly is performed on-site exclusively by trained Clear Ballot employees.

Do any components of your voting system come from overseas?

While all Clear Ballot systems are integrated and assembled in the United States, select commercial hardware components are sourced from global suppliers. Every component, regardless of origin, undergoes extensive inspection and testing as part of our rigorous quality assurance program.

How can you ensure that your systems are secure?

All Clear Ballot products undergo rigorous multi-layered security verification and build processes. Our voting systems are certified by the US Election Assistance Commission (EAC) and are built in strict alignment with federal security frameworks, including National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) guidelines and the Center for Internet Security (CIS) Critical Security Controls. 

Additionally, our certified products undergo independent, third-party testing by federally accredited Voting System Test Laboratories (VSTLs). This evaluation includes comprehensive source code reviews, penetration testing, and physical hardware assessments to ensure integrity and reliability.
